WIT Girls Job Shadow Day Camp
What is the WIT Girls Job Shadow Day Camp? Teenage girls are provided with a glimpse of the day-to-day excitement of a career in technology. For one week in the summer, rising 9th graders and high school girls are paired with various technology-centered organizations to experience the possibilities of a career in a STEAM field. Volunteers at these organizations share their education and career path with the girls, giving them an idea of what it takes to succeed.
This year’s Job Shadow attendees should come prepared to have a fun, engaging, and interactive experience with some of Atlanta’s Best and Brightest leaders in technology. Companies participating include EarthLinkEquifaxGreenlightSecureworksState Farm, and The Weather Company!
In the last few years, we have had presentations on product management, artificial intelligence, software development, design thinking, and even coding. You’ll even get a chance to hear from top tech executives who will share their career stories and provide key advice.
